Successful Investment Roadshow strengthens Cambodia-EU Relations
From 10 to 14 June, the expert team of the Cambodia-EU Cooperation Facility project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by GOPA Worldwide Consultants, spearheaded a successful roadshow for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Delegates visited Madrid, Spain, and Nuremberg, Germany, to meet first-hand with business associations and private-sector firms.
Meetings included firms that are already operating in Asia and Southeast Asia or have a strong interest in doing so from a variety of sectors, such as water treatment and management, tourism, renewable energies, agro-processing, or infrastructure. Through dynamic B2B events and targeted group meetings, delegates had the opportunity to share valuable business insights and promote Cambodia as a dynamic and growing economy ready to attract foreign businesses.
The roadshow was initiated by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of FDI at the Council for the Development of Cambodia, in conjunction with Igor Driesmans, the EU Ambassador to Cambodia. Rudi Schuetz, Team Leader of the Cambodia-EU Cooperation Facility project, accompanied the delegation to Europe.
Roadshow events were organised by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Madrid, in close coordination with the Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Thailand, and the AHK Vietnam – Delegation of the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam.
