Morocco: Project Activities Result in a New Generation of TVET Institutions
Thanks to activities of the "Charaka" Fund project, a new generation of technical vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, strongly involving professionals, has emerged in Morocco.
GOPA Worldwide Consultants is pleased to have provided support to the MCA Morocco Agency in the management, monitoring, technical assistance and closure of Chakara Fund project activities.
Over the past five years, implementation of three project components has contributed towards the creation and rehabilitation of 15 establishments that can accommodate 13,000 trainees per year.
- The infrastructure component covered the technical and architectural design of the buildings as well as their construction.
- The technical assistance component covered aspects related to the technical operation and management mode (training programs, management and communication tools, continuous training catalog, GIS approach and adoption of a governance model based on a public-private partnership).
- The last component has enabled each institution to be equipped with the latest pedagogical and technical equipment.
In addition to cross-cutting activities, GOPA provided capacity building activities for the staff of the beneficiary institutions, including quality assurance, project management, the institutional project, e-learning, governance and the development of 103 distance learning modules.
We’re pleased to have been part of successful implementation of this flagship project that has aligned professional training to the skills needed for Morocco’s workforce.
