The first in a series of workshops was successfully conducted in Tbilisi as part of the European Union (EU)--funded “Support to Integrated Territorial Development in Georgia” project that GOPA Worldwide Consultants is implementing with CENN. This project is a key component of the broader “EU4 Integrated Territorial Development” programme, aimed at supporting Georgia’s EU integration process.

Project activities are supporting #Georgia in creating a favourable environment for socio‐economic development and in overcoming regional disparities through the implementation of effective territorial development policies.

The workshop was held on March 19 in Tbilisi. The project team with Carl Heller and Zviad Archuadze, as well as Andro Kortua and Paolo Veneri from the GSSI Gran Sasso Science Institute, engaged with various stakeholders to discuss and develop opportunities for private sector engagement in Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) in Georgia.
