December 03, 2024

GOPA Worldwide Consultants is pleased to be partnering with the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to implement the vocational education and training (TVET) System Strengthening in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)* project for the next four years.

A recent Quality 4 Excellence conference, focusing on the future of TVET, was held in Konjic as part of the project inception phase. The event brought together a distinguished group of experts and partners, both local and international, who shared best practices in the field.

The central theme, Quality 4 Excellence, underscores the importance of continuous TVET improvement. In addition to the presentations from professionals, the event highlighted the voices of young change-makers from BiH, who shared their experiences and the challenges they face in their communities.

A panel discussion moderated by Amir Sarajlic on Addressing the Needs for Missing Skills: The Perspective and Role of Employers in Quality Assurance in TVET, enabled exchanges on the evolving role of employers in shaping the future of TVET. Additionally, Karol Jakubik, from the Ministry of Education of Slovakia, presented on international best practices.

The conference emphasised the need for curricular reform to align vocational education with industry demands. It also advanced collaboration and commitment to improving regional TVET quality

The project team also showcased the video Voice of BiH, featuring business owners advocating dual-oriented TVET.
