Member Supervisory Board, GOPA Group

Paul Krekel has worked for over 35 years in various managing positions in the plant construction industry, becoming an expert in the fields of controlling and strategic planning, project financing, and people management.

After receiving a business administration diploma from the J.W. Goethe Universität, Frankfurt/ Main, Paul Krekel spent 20 years at Lurgi GmbH. During this time, his journey took him from controlling over commercial support and special financing of large-scale international projects to managing director at Lurgi Envirotherm GmbH, Frankfurt/ Main.

Following his tenure at Lurgi GmbH, Paul Krekel became managing director at the Andritz Metals Germany GmbH (formerly Andritz Sundwig GmbH) in Hemer for the next 15 years. Throughout this period he was also given the opportunity to take on the role of chairman and mentor for different units of the Andritz AG, Graz.

Paul Krekel has been part of the GOPA Group Supervisory Board since 2019.
