Dr. Martin Güldner is a visionary leader and an influential figure in the field of international development consulting. As the CEO and main shareholder of the GOPA Consulting Group for more than 35 years now, he has propelled the enterprise towards becoming one of the key players worldwide in this industry. With a Ph.D. in statistics and econometrics from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, Martin brings a strong academic background to his role. Overseeing and knowing all of GOPA´s international cooperation projects all over the world, Martin developed to become a leading development thinker in the areas of private sector consultancy for development, sustainable infrastructure and energy engineering, financial sector development as well as agriculture and agribusiness value chain advise - covering all areas in the field of SDGs.

Martin envisions making a lasting impact on the development community by continuing to drive innovation, impact, and effectiveness. He strives to build a better tomorrow by exploring new avenues for collaboration and leveraging the expertise of commercial consulting firms.

In addition to his professional achievements, Martin is the proud father of three children and also actively engaged in various private activities and hobbies. As a passionate horse enthusiast, he is the owner of a horse breeding farm and enjoys horse riding as a deep passion. He is also an avid sailor, finding relaxation and joy with his wife and kids on the open seas.
