GOPA Worldwide Consultants is pleased to celebrate the achievements of the recently concluded GIZ “Private Sector Development and Innovation - PSI” project in Egypt which played a notable role in empowering Egyptian enterprises. This three-year initiative, in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), focused on strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian enterprises through the modernisation of technology capacities within selected manufacturing industries and service providers.

Along with project partner, Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS), and in collaboration with leading universities, Nile University, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST),  Zewail City of Science and Technology, GOPA implemented the successful project which resulted in key achievements and notable project activities.

Key Achievements:

• Increasing innovation capabilities of Egyptian Industry
• Accelerating technology transfer by integrating Universities’ Technology Centers and TTOs as service providers
• Transforming the provision of innovation services to Egyptian SMEs

Notable Activities:

• Capacity building measures in Innovation Management
• Comprehensive innovation training + coaching packages 
• Programmes to promote the industrial innovation ecosystem in Egypt
• Commercialisation of research & industry by partnering with leading Universities in Egypt
• Designing a pilot for “innovation voucher” approach
