Administration of the Swedish-Norwegian Fund for Cooperation with Colombian Civil Society Organisations (SIDA)

Analyze and select proposals for financing short-term initiatives through the Open Fast Track Fund and present these to the GB for final approval on a monthly basis.

Plan and execute capacity building of the counterparts of the Fund in areas related to project management and financial administration and upon specific request from the GB on thematic capacitation.

Organize trimestral, or at other frequency as agreed with the GB, thematic meetings between counterparts and the GB with the purpose of

-     provide input for political analysis to the GB

-     review results on an aggregated level together with the organizations

-     provide a channel for communication from the GB to the partner  organizations of FOS Colombia

Prepare annual narrative and financial reports to the GB over the execution of the funds available as well as the results and participate in follow-up meetings with the GB.

Assist in sharing with the GB any kind of relevant information and contacts with organizations needed as well as maintaining a dialogue on current issues of interests for the partners, as well as facilitate monitoring of the activities by the GB including participation in field visits.

The person proposed must have the following:

Academic exam, minimum bachelor’s degree.

Minimum eight years work experience

Very good knowledge of spoken and written Spanish and English

Experience from similar assignments including administration of development cooperation funds

Management experience

Knowledge of the political and social development in Colombia

Experience from work related to civil society organizations

Experience from work related to the thematic areas (i.e. peace and security; human rights with focus on victims and human rights defenders; democratic governance linked to peace building) and crosscutting issues of the Fund (gender and conflict sensitivity)
