World Bank Project in Azerbaijan successfully finalised

A multimedia presentation about “the role of occupational standards in training of skilled workers and increase of labour productivity” highlights the results of the Social Protection Development Project implemented by the  GOPA Group member company GOPA Consultants  and its local partner, SEFT Consulting, for the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, and the World Bank. The video demonstrates the role occupational standards prepared within the “Development of improved occupational standards according to ISCO88/08 and relevant training standards” task in the upgrade of national workforce quality and inform the society in the whole about these standards.

GOPA Consultants and its partner have managed to prepare 200 occupational standards in last three years according to the international standards and adjust to local conditions which now will be the basis for the adjustment of vocational training systems to the economical demands. A package of 200 standards classified on construction (33), manufacturing (41), tourism (33), agriculture (13), power engineering (3), transportation (17) and services (60) was developed and enterprises have already begun with the implementation of these standards. High-ranked politicians and stakeholders had emphasised the importance of the project´s outcome for the continued strategic development of Azerbaijan´s economy and growth potential.
